Drifty Acres

Drifty Acres is a small family farm located close to the shores of Lake Superior in Poplar, WI. We raise small ruminants (goats and sheep) and poultry (chickens and turkeys) in an integrated rotational grazing system. Our goats also have day jobs. During the summer they are utilized to combat invasive species like buckthorn, effectively turning a nuisance plant into delicious, nutritious meat. Plus this gives our goats an extremely diverse and wild diet. We don't rely on grain or any regular vaccines or medications for our ruminants, just clean grass-fed animals. Goat is the most widely consumed meat in the world and is starting to grow in popularity here in the states due to its low carbon footprint and versatile flavor.
